HOPE International Development Agency brings help and hope to the world's poorest families. Their vision is to work with local communities to bring clean water and other basic needs to villages in remote areas of the world. In over forty years of development work, HOPE has found that access to clean water is a catalyst to transformational change, leading to improved health and time for education and income generating activities.

 For this reason, HOPE works with communities to install simple gravity-fed water systems to bring clean, safe water within 15 minutes of their home and provides training to manage and maintain the system. Once in place, communities are able to better plan for their future and ultimately help themselves out of poverty.

HOPE is currently raising funds to support the construction of these water systems, and the related health, hygiene and sanitation education that accompanies each project, in southern Ethiopia. Hope also follows up each project by providing simple business skills and entrepreneurial training for women, who previously had little time, education or experience of financially contributing to their families and future.
